So we headed to La Bocana on Friday Oct. 2 to visit everyone, party with Joaquin for his birthday and of course fish. We made it down smooth Road was nice, some construction near Santo Tomas area. Made it to Abre and camped for the night.
Next morning blasted across the salt flat to LB
Sean and Joaquin
Joaquin invited everyone over for a pig roast and cake for his birthday. Awesome party
Brought down a painting for him done my my mom. Happy birthday buddy
So of course on goes the fishing. It started off slow
Mateo with all that's left of a YFT... Mako got it
Made some headway, broken steel leaders... Good sign
Then it cracked off, and never stopped!
Sean with a big one
Ready to start the filet station.

A few days of wide open Wahoo up to about 100 lbs. We tried to weigh the biggest one and it broke our 85lb scale. Yellowtail, yellowfin and wahoo mostly. Fished the Polaris and the 25 the whole time. The bite never stopped, even in the afternoon wahoo were biting everything. Purple Maraders were king but they were hitting us yoyoing Tady's too. Fished with Enrique(Kenai), Zach, and Domingo. Great time in LB with great friends. Joaquin as usual made AWESOME food and Kim made us pizzas that were amazing. Scott is smoking fish for us. Wish I could name everyone that made our trip as good as it was but it would be impossible. Couldn't have asked for more other than to have more time.
Domingo Mike and Joaquin
So we headed out to Bahia de Los Angeles picking up trash as we stopped for smoke breaks. The least we can do for the Baja
Made it to Bahia de los Angeles
Fished from the beach for 4 or 5 days
As luck would have it... It was WIDE OPEN off the beach too. We had a few quintuple hookups
Mike and Warren with Toro's crossing over
Mateo in the "fighting chair"
LOTS of Whale Sharks over at Rincon
Papi and Sean made some friends. Small boat so he towed Papi to the spot
Bahia was epic with WIDE OPEN jacks and bonita (all released) from the beach in front of Villa Bahia. Great place, they are great cooks too. Hope you enjoyed it and Mucho Take it Easy
